When the temperature at the sensor rises, the Danfoss 003N0909 opens the water flow. The thermostatically operated valve belongs to the AVTA 25 series and controls the flow proportionally to the set temperature and the sensor temperature. Actuation is self-acting; an electrical supply or compressed air as auxiliary energy is not part of the control principle. The 003N0909 version has an adsorption charge. The sensor element contains activated carbon and carbon dioxide. When the sensor temperature falls, carbon dioxide is adsorbed, which changes the pressure in the element. This pressure change acts on the valve actuation. The control range of this version extends from 40 to 110 °C. Sensor and valve body are connected to each other by a 2300 mm long capillary tube. As a result, the measuring point and the connection to the water pipe are located at separate points. The valve body is made of brass and has internal G-1 connections according to ISO 228-1. The flow direction is marked by an embossed arrow on the housing. For the order of this AVTA-25 valve, shipping from Germany to the United States and other international destinations is carried out by REHA-Industriekomponenten. The opening cross-section has a nominal size of 25 mm; the maximum operating pressure is 16 bar. The differential pressure across the valve lies within the range from 0 to 10 bar. The separate sensor has a diameter of 9.5 mm and is 150 mm long. Its maximum temperature is 130 °C. The capillary tube fitting has an internal G-½ thread. A temperature range from −25 to +130 °C applies to the medium. The net weight of order number 003N0909 is 1,296 kg.
The item supplied will have the stated manufacturer or type number and the stated condition category. Serial number, manufacturing date, labels, colour, packaging and normal signs of use or storage may differ. Unless expressly confirmed, technical information is provided to identify the device type. The complete manufacturer or type number is decisive.
