The ABB ACS355-03E-31A0-4 is an ACS355 machinery frequency inverter for controlled three-phase drives in conveyor systems, packaging machinery, material handling and general production equipment. The exact version operates on three-phase mains from 380 to 480 V and provides 31 A rated output current. ABB assigns a typical motor output of 15 kW or 20 hp at 460 V. The unit has frame size R4 and is designed as an IP20 version for protected control-cabinet installation. The integrated EMC filter in the E version is connected for 50-Hz mains. The ACS355 platform supports scalar and vector-based motor control as well as programmable machinery functions, allowing recurring drive sequences to be implemented compactly. Control panels and fieldbus adapters are selected to suit the existing machine configuration. Replacement therefore requires not only matching power, current and mains voltage, but also the control panel, communication adapter, motor control method, input and output signals and saved parameter set.
