The Indramat MDD manual, edition 12.96, shows MDD021B-N-100-N2G-032FB0 as a complete example type. The code covers motor size, design, nominal speed, feedback, shaft, connection and brake. MDD alone is a family; a separate material number remains an additional identifier.
Brand history
Indramat and Rexroth
Indramat was founded in 1958 and acquired by Rexroth in 1965. In 2001, Bosch acquired Rexroth, including its Indramat business; electric drive and control technology was brought together under Bosch Rexroth. Indramat names may therefore appear on older equipment, with Bosch Rexroth names in the corresponding documentation.
