Lenze EVF8603-E is a frequency inverter from the 8600 series with a rated motor output of 2.2 kW and a nominal output current of 5.5 A. Designed for control-cabinet installation, it operates from a three-phase supply of 3×330 to 528 V AC at 45 to 65 Hz. Alternatively, the DC link can be supplied from 470 to 740 V DC. Output frequency is continuously adjustable from 0 to 480 Hz. The factory switching frequency is 4 kHz and can be varied between 2 and 16 kHz to influence motor noise and switching losses. An integrated brake chopper with a 765 V DC response threshold supports controlled braking with an approved external resistor. Control can use a V/f characteristic or the energy-saving I0 method, making the inverter relevant to conveyors, fans and pumps. A serial LECOM1 interface based on RS485 allows integration into a compatible automation system. Parameter setting and diagnostics use the integrated operator panel with digital display. The sheet-steel enclosure is rated IP20 to DIN 40050 for protected cabinet installation. Forced cooling by an axial fan supports thermal operation under load at ambient temperatures up to +50 °C.
