The Lenze EVS9223-E-V021 is a 9200-series axis module for modular multi-axis systems controlling asynchronous servo motors. Through a common DC link, the module can operate with a 9212, 9215 or 9217 supply module, allowing braking energy to be exchanged efficiently between axes. The Lenze EVS9223-E-V021 provides 5.5 A rated output current at an 8 kHz switching frequency and 4.5 kVA continuous apparent power at 3×480 V, covering medium-duty drive tasks in machine tools, packaging machinery and handling systems. Field-oriented vector control with a 16-bit microcontroller and three ASICs provides accurate torque and speed control throughout four-quadrant operation up to ±8,000 min⁻¹. In addition to selectable 8 kHz or quieter 16-kHz operation, the controller provides electronic incremental-encoder simulation, a master-frequency input for positioning and synchronous operation, and a LECOM A/B interface over RS232 and RS485. Parameters are set through an integrated LCD operator panel with plain-text display. The stated permissible mains range is 3×330 to 528 V AC at 50/60 Hz. The IP20 axis module is designed for cabinet installation and meets IEC 801-4 interference-immunity severity level 4. Variant V021 adds a function module for application-specific tasks. With a weight of 9.5 kg and 250 W power dissipation in continuous operation, the EVS9223-E-V021 is suitable for compact control-cabinet layouts. Available directly from our warehouse in Germany.
