It is based on the Siemens 6ES7512-1SK01-0AB0 and uses Conformal Coating for increased resistance in demanding environments. Siemens specifies operation from −25 to +60 °C and short-term exposure to +70 °C for 10 minutes according to ST1/2. The CPU provides 300 KB of work memory for the user program and 1 MB for data. Its first interface supports PROFINET IRT through an integrated 3-Port-Switch. A bit processing time of 48 ns supports time-critical control sequences. The supply is 24 V DC with a permissible range from 19.2 to 28.8 V DC. Rated input current is 0.6 A, with a documented maximum of 0.9 A. Mains failure buffering of 5 ms, reverse polarity protection, and isochronous PROFINET operation supplement the core functions. A BusAdapter is required for Port 1 and 2, and the CPU also requires a SIMATIC Memory Card. Multi-Hot-Swapping supports planned module replacement in suitable ET-200SP configurations.
