It extends a PM5 or PM6-CPU with combined process signals and occupies one slot in addition to the CPU slot. For fast encoder signals, Siemens specifies up to four 15-V incremental encoders; the source also identifies a second encoder-voltage variant and a track frequency of up to 1 MHz. The binary channels use external 24-V-DC signals. Two 50-pin Sub-D connectors, X6 and X7, connect encoder, analogue and binary signals through suitable SC49, SC54 or SU10-/SB interface modules. The outputs provide a nominal 50 mA and are electronically and thermally protected against short circuits.

What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.

No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
