The Siemens 6SE7090-0XX84-0FE0 evaluates encoder information within the SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES family. The module is the SBM2 version and processes feedback from multiturn absolute encoders and incremental encoders. Its role in the system is therefore between the connected encoder and the drive controller: the encoder signals provide position and speed information for further processing. With multiturn encoders, the absolute position also covers multiple revolutions. This encoder evaluation function characterises the module among the MASTERDRIVES electronics options. EnDat and SSI are available as encoder interfaces. The interface is selected according to the connected encoder and its signal transmission method. In addition, the encoder supply can be set to 5 V, 7.5 V or 15 V. Interface and supply are different electrical characteristics: the transmission method describes data exchange, while the selected voltage concerns the encoder power supply. In the Motion Control configuration, slot C is assigned to motor encoder evaluation. Depending on the device design, machine encoders use the other designated option slots. Which encoder signals does the SBM2 evaluate?
The SBM2 evaluates multiturn absolute encoders and incremental encoders. EnDat and SSI are provided as encoder interfaces.
What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.
Which shipping methods and delivery times are available?
The shipping method, shipping cost and estimated delivery time are confirmed for the specific order. Depending on the item, destination and urgency, we can check parcel, express or freight shipping as well as collection.
A delivery date is binding only if we expressly confirm it as binding.
Which payment terms apply?

International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
