The ABB 81EU01D-E with the order number GJR2391500R1210 is a universal input module for the PROCONTROL-P system. The module has 16 functional units that can be individually configured for different input methods. This makes it suitable for recording binary contacts as well as for analog current signals. For the binary sensors, the ABB manual lists single and changeover contacts, electronic sensors and inductive proximity sensors according to NAMUR DIN 19234. For contact applications, a supply with 48 V from the module with or without monitoring is documented; Alternatively, externally powered contacts or electronic sensors up to 60 V are provided. Analog measuring transducers can be supplied as two-wire devices with 4 to 20 mA from the input module. Four-wire transmitters with external supply can be connected in the ranges 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 5 mA. The resolution is 12 bits for the two 20-mA ranges and 10 bits for 0 to 5 mA. Communication with the control takes place via the standard interface of the PROCONTROL station bus. Parameterized values are retained in the EEPROM even after a power failure. Diagnostic messages are displayed on the front via ST for a general malfunction and SG for a module malfunction. Up to four limit values can be set for each analog signal.
