The Control Techniques SP1403 belongs to the universal Unidrive SP drive family and is designed for demanding motor control tasks in machinery, production equipment and automated axes. The compact Frame Size 1 unit operates with a three-phase 380 to 480 V supply and provides a maximum continuous current of 4.2 A in the exact SP1403 version. Typical motor assignment is 1.5 kW or 2 hp, while a peak current of up to 7.3 A is specified for short periods. The range supports open-loop speed control, closed-loop control and servo applications, making it suitable for established machinery. An integrated serial RS485 interface enables parameter setting and plant communication, while slots for suitable Solution Modules extend integration into existing automation structures. The drive is designed as an IP20 control-cabinet unit with forced-air cooling. For a reliable replacement, mains voltage, motor power, motor feedback, braking concept, option modules, terminal assignment and the secured machine parameter set should be matched completely against the existing device. Especially on controlled axes, exact transfer of motor and controller data is important so that torque, speed and ramps suit the machine. The existing fieldbus connection, external braking resistors and safety-related shutdown paths must also be documented clearly before replacement. Unobstructed cooling air paths prevent thermal stress in the control cabinet and support stable continuous operation. The SP1403 is therefore suitable as a type-specific replacement for existing Unidrive SP installations where mechanics, control-cabinet layout and control system are to be retained. Before commissioning, protective circuitry, grounding, ventilation clearances and application-specific parameter settings must be checked in accordance with the manufacturer documentation.

Which drive tasks is the Control Techniques SP1403 designed for?
Within the Unidrive SP family, the SP1403 can be used for open-loop, closed-loop and servo applications. Motor power, the available feedback system and application-specific parameter settings are decisive.
What should be checked when replacing an SP1403?
Before replacement, the complete type number, mains voltage, motor and feedback data, option modules, braking circuitry, terminal assignment and the secured parameter set should be matched against the existing unit.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, we provide a 14-day functional guarantee for used items. This means the component must be operational when received.
Please note that the guarantee only applies when the warranty seal is undamaged.
If a defect occurs within 14 calendar days, please contact us in writing. Subject to availability, we will provide a replacement or refund the full purchase price after return.

Can we return items if they were ordered incorrectly?

Please note that returns of functioning goods are generally excluded. In justified exceptional cases, we can assess an individual solution, but this is not the standard procedure.
