Heidenhain 689681-10 identifies an absolute sealed LC 485 linear encoder with a 520 mm measuring length and end block 14A. It supplies an absolute position value through EnDat 2.2 and additional sinusoidal 1 Vpp signals. Specifications include a 10 nm measuring step, 20 µm grating period, ±5.0 µm accuracy, IP53 protection and an operating-temperature range from 0 °C to +50 °C. Electrical connection is through a 14-pin flange connector. For this measuring length, ML + 105 mm gives a total length of 625 mm. The complete encoder profile is 32.2 mm high and 18 mm deep. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
