The Lenze EPM-S206 is a digital input module for the modular I/O system 1000. It detects up to eight binary control signals from the process level and provides them to the higher-level bus system in an eight-bit process image. This version uses negative-switching NPN technology and is designed for a rated voltage of 24 V DC. For the EPM-S206, signal 0 has an input range of 15 to 28.8 V DC, while signal 1 has a range of 0 to 5 V DC. Input current at signal 1 is 3 mA, and the filter delay for both signal transitions is 3 ms. The module uses 1-wire connection technology and requires 65 mA from the backplane bus. The input channels are electrically isolated from the backplane bus, with insulation tested at 500 V DC. Green LEDs for each channel indicate the signal states and support diagnostics directly in the control cabinet. The compact IP20 enclosure measures 100 × 12.5 × 76 mm and weighs only 0.06 kg. This allows the EPM-S206 to be integrated efficiently on the DIN rail in existing Lenze I/O stations. The offered used module additionally carries identification number 13367252 and the designations 2A and E340765-7230V11. For replacement, the type number, NPN switching logic, wiring diagram, hardware version and installed bus coupler should be compared.
