The SICK WTB4-3P2161 is a photoelectric proximity sensor from the compact W4-3 range. Background suppression supports object detection within the regular sensing range of 15–150 mm; the specified maximum range is 4–150 mm. A PinPoint-LED produces visible red light with a wavelength of 650 nm. At a distance of 50 mm, the light spot has a diameter of 7 mm. Detection can be adjusted with a 5-turn potentiometer. The sensor operates at 10–30 V DC and draws 20 mA without load. Its digital output is a light-switching PNP output with a maximum output current of 100 mA. Response time is below 0.5 ms and switching frequency is 1,000 Hz. Reverse-polarity protection, interference suppression and overcurrent and short-circuit protection of the outputs are included in the protection circuits. Electrical connection uses a 3-pin M8 connector. Protection class is III. Two indicator LEDs show light reception and active supply voltage. The enclosure includes an M3 mounting thread; the optics separate emitter and receiver along the defined preferred direction. The flat, rectangular enclosure is made of ABS plastic, while the front screen is made of PMMA. IP66 and IP67 define the documented enclosure ratings. The permissible operating-temperature range is −40 to +60 °C, and storage is permitted from −40 to +75 °C. The sensor measures 16 × 39.5 × 12 mm and has a net weight of 30 g. Technical identification requires the complete WTB4-3P2161 type number, PNP switching mode, M8 connection, sensing range and enclosure dimensions to match jointly.

What sensing range and output does the SICK WTB4-3P2161 have?

What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.

Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
