Within the SCALANCE-XC-200 series, the Siemens XC208 is a compact, managed Layer 2 switch module for Industrial Ethernet. Order number 6GK5208-0BA00-2AC2 identifies the version with eight RJ45 ports, each transmitting at 10 or 100 Mbit/s. As a PROFINET IO device and EtherNet/IP-compliant unit, the switch supports integration into industrial automation networks. Port-based VLANs, RSTP and MSTP, IGMP Snooping and Query, Link Aggregation, IEEE 802.1X, and RMON are among its management functions. Per-port bandwidth limitation complements network management. The module can also be integrated into the TIA Portal. An RJ11 console port, an NFC interface, and the top-accessible C-PLUG slot are available for maintenance and configuration. Diagnostic LEDs provide a structured indication of the device status. The diagnostic block follows the S7-1500 design and groups the optical status information on the front. The power supply has a redundant design; at 24 V DC, maximum current consumption is 175 mA and power loss is 4.2 W. The permissible supply voltage range is 9.6 to 31.2 V DC. A dedicated grounding point is implemented as a grounding screw. The 60 mm wide enclosure requires little space in the control cabinet. The module can be mounted on a DIN-Hutschiene, S7-Profilschiene, or wall. The XC208 version has degree of protection IP20 and an operating temperature range of −40 to +70 °C. Its dimensions are 60 × 147 × 125 mm and its net weight is 520 g. The combination of eight Fast Ethernet ports, several mounting options, and integrated diagnostic and management access points keeps the specific network topology straightforward to configure.

What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.

International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
