Siemens 6GK5308-2GG00-2CA2 is a SCALANCE X308-2M TS managed Industrial Ethernet switch for automation networks, machine communications and compact control-cabinet segments. Siemens describes the managed IE switch with four electrical RJ45 ports for 10, 100 and 1000 Mbit/s plus two slots for 2-port media modules. Depending on the fitted modules, these slots support electrical or optical 100/1000-Mbit/s connections. The port and module structure combines Gigabit RJ45 connections, modular electrical or optical media connectivity and managed diagnostics in one SCALANCE unit. Documented functions include LED diagnostics, a 2-pole signalling contact, PROFINET IO device functionality, network management, an integrated redundancy manager, C-PLUG support and office functions such as RSTP, VLAN and IGMP. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
