Product description
A continuous manipulated variable characterizes the ABB 83SR05E as a controller module for a single process variable. The analog control works on a stored-program basis; the connection within the PROCONTROL system is made via the station bus. Received telegrams are checked by means of their parity bits, while transmitted telegrams also contain parity bits. Control task and bus communication are thus two separate functional areas of this module. The electrical supply distinguishes several voltages, each with its own task. US designates the operating voltage of +24 V. Internally, it branches into US1 for the push buttons of the operator console, US2 for process contactors such as limit switches and US3 for contactors of the power electronics. These three branches contain PTC resistors. The auxiliary voltage UV of −24 V has the function of raising the communication voltage at the contact inputs. Separately from this, UM is designed as a signaling voltage of +24 V. This assignment is essential when connecting the ABB 83SR05E, because voltage values of equal size have different tasks and reference points. A specific order with shipping from Germany to the United States and other international destinations therefore includes the complete module identifier 83SR05E. On the front, simulation and module fault are indicated via SIM and ST. In addition, there are LH for manual mode, LA for automatic mode and LM for a fault message to the operator console. The indicators distinguish operating mode, simulation and fault message without combining these functions in a single indicator. For mechanical classification, approx. 20 × 300 × 220 mm and approx. 0.5 kg are assumed. Both values are estimates for the slim plug-in module and do not replace a dimensional check on the existing module rack. The connection and supply specifications of the specific installation remain decisive during installation.

What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.
Which shipping methods and delivery times are available?
The shipping method, shipping cost and estimated delivery time are confirmed for the specific order. Depending on the item, destination and urgency, we can check parcel, express or freight shipping as well as collection.
A delivery date is binding only if we expressly confirm it as binding.
Which payment terms apply?
The payment terms stated in the checkout or order confirmation apply. Depending on the order and customer, payment is made in advance or against invoice.
International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
