In the EL1918, Beckhoff Automation combines eight digital inputs in a 12 mm wide EtherCAT HD terminal from the TwinSAFE range. Input data comprises potential-free contacts and 24-V-DC signals; the signal states are transmitted through TwinSAFE or Safety over EtherCAT. In addition to its input function, this version includes TwinSAFE Logic functionality with up to 128 safe connections. Test pulses can be configured for each channel. The electrical data includes a supply voltage range of 24 V DC with −15 % to +20 %, typical E-bus current consumption of approximately 165 mA with eight occupied channels, and typical power loss of 1.6 W. Electrical isolation is provided between the channels and the E-bus, but not between the individual channels. The polycarbonate housing has an IP20 protection rating and is mounted horizontally on a 35-mm DIN rail according to EN 60715. Solid conductors use direct push-in connection, while stranded conductors and ferrules use spring actuation. Depending on conductor type, the connection cross-section ranges from 0.08 to 1.5 mm². Twelve LEDs comprise eight input and four diagnostic indicators. With 12 × 100 × 68 mm, approximately 50 g and 16 connection points, the EL1918 follows the compact EL HD format.

Which input signals does the Beckhoff Automation EL1918 detect?
The eight digital inputs distinguish a 0 signal range from −3 to 5 V and a 1 signal range from 11 to 30 V with a 24 V DC supply.
Which housing and connection technology does the EL1918 use?
The EL1918 uses a 12 mm wide HD housing on a 35-mm DIN rail. Solid conductors use direct push-in connection; stranded conductors and ferrules use spring actuation.
What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.
Which shipping methods and delivery times are available?

A delivery date is binding only if we expressly confirm it as binding.
Which payment terms apply?

International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect. Details in Section 12 of the Terms.
