Product description

With a 130 × 130 mm flange cross-section and an overall length of 191 mm, the Fanuc A06B-0236-B500 is one of the compact, braked motor variants in the αiS range. Its straight shaft has a keyway and a diameter of 19 mm. The order code also identifies a 24-V-DC holding brake, standard cooling without a fan, and the absolute αiA 1000 Pulsecoder. The variant is designed as an αiS 8/4000 HV AC servo motor within the 400-V range. It provides 8.0 Nm stall torque at 5.6 A RMS. Rated output is 2.3 kW, while rated and maximum speed are both 4,000 min⁻¹. Maximum torque for short load peaks is 32 Nm. These values clearly classify the motor size, dynamics, and electrical design within the range without including neighbouring A06B variants. For mechanical design, the inertia values are relevant in addition to the shaft shape. Rotor inertia with brake is 0.00124 kg·m², and the torque constant is 1.44 Nm/A. Maximum servo amplifier current is 40 A peak. The back EMF constant is 50 V RMS per 1,000 min⁻¹, while the single-phase armature resistance is 1.3 Ω. A mechanical time constant of 0.002 s and a thermal time constant of 20 minutes define two further dynamic values for this exact motor size. The motor body is mounted using the square 130-mm flange. Four 9-mm through holes are positioned on a 145 mm bolt circle. Power, brake, and encoder connections are arranged separately on the housing. The braked version weighs 9.6 kg. The complete A06B-0236-B500 designation is decisive for product identity. The B500 suffix represents the straight keyed shaft with brake, standard cooling, and αiA-1000 Pulsecoder.
