Heidenhain 689681-12 identifies an absolute sealed LC 485 linear encoder with a 620 mm measuring length and end block 14A. It supplies an absolute position value through EnDat 2.2 and additional sinusoidal 1 Vpp signals. Further ratings include a 10 nm measuring step, 20 µm grating period, ±5.0 µm accuracy, IP53 protection and an operating range from 0 °C to 50 °C. Supply is DC 3.6 V to 14 V with power consumption up to 1.3 W; traversing speed reaches 180 m/min. Electrical connection uses a 14-pin flange connector. For 620 mm measuring length, ML + 105 mm gives a total length of 725 mm. The complete profile is 32.2 mm high and 18 mm deep. Dimensions are therefore 725 × 32.2 × 18 mm. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
