Product description

Within the FREQROL FR-A800 range, the E2 version of the Mitsubishi Electric FR-A840-00170-E2-60 combines the 00170 power class with an Ethernet interface. The frequency inverter has a three-phase supply range from 380 to 500 V AC; its permissible voltage range is 323 to 550 V AC and the mains frequency is 50 or 60 Hz with a tolerance of five percent. The ND characteristic is set at the factory. With this rating, the assigned motor capacity is 5.5 kW, the rated output current is 12 A and the rated input current is 17.4 A. For brief load peaks, the ND characteristic specifies 150 percent for 60 seconds and 200 percent for three seconds. The adjustable output frequency range extends from 0.2 to 590 Hz. Available control methods are V/f control, Advanced Magnetic Flux Vector Control, Real Sensorless Vector Control, Closed Loop Vector Control and PM Sensorless Vector Control. A brake chopper is integrated in this frame size. Power loss in ND operation is 0.17 kW, with fan cooling removing the resulting heat. The enclosed housing has an IP20 rating. At 220 mm wide, 300 mm high and 190 mm deep, with a weight of 6.7 kg, the unit provides concrete dimensions for installation-space and handling checks. For technical identification, the complete type number, selected load rating, motor capacity, output current, supply class and E2 interface version are the relevant identifiers. The four ratings SLD, LD, ND and HD each have their own current, capacity and overload values within the same frame size. The stated 5.5 kW and 12 A therefore refer specifically to ND.
