With 16 digital inputs, the Pilz PNOZ m EF 16DI expands the input level of a PNOZmulti 2 system. The module belongs to the configurable control systems of this product family and is connected to a base unit as an expansion. Its own supply is provided internally via this base unit with 24 V DC. The supply of the module and the electrical characteristics of the input signals have to be considered separately. For the inputs, an input voltage of 24 V DC in accordance with EN 61131-2 type 1 applies. At rated voltage, the input current is 5 mA; the specified current range extends from 2.5 to 5.3 mA. Pulse suppression is 0.5 ms, while the maximum input delay is stated as 8 ms. There is no galvanic isolation. For a specific order with shipping from Germany to the United States and other international destinations, this 16-channel version can be identified by its complete designation PNOZ m EF 16DI. The status display works with LEDs. Electrically, the module draws 46 mA, with a power consumption of 1.1 W and a maximum power dissipation of 3 W. For installation, a horizontal position on a 35 × 7.5 mm DIN rail is intended. The ambient temperature range is between 0 and 60 °C; from 55 °C, the installation requirements call for forced convection in the control cabinet. Housing and terminal area have the protection class IP20, and the installation space is specified with IP54. The mechanical design is 22.5 mm wide, 101.4 mm high and 120 mm deep. The weight is 95 g.

How is the PNOZ m EF 16DI supplied?
The 24-V-DC supply of the module is provided internally via the base unit.
What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.
Which shipping methods and delivery times are available?
The shipping method, shipping cost and estimated delivery time are confirmed for the specific order. Depending on the item, destination and urgency, we can check parcel, express or freight shipping as well as collection.
A delivery date is binding only if we expressly confirm it as binding.
Which payment terms apply?
The payment terms stated in the checkout or order confirmation apply. Depending on the order and customer, payment is made in advance or against invoice.
International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
