The SICK WS160-D440 handles the sender side of a through-beam photoelectric sensor with an infrared LED. Within the W160 series, it generates the light beam for the opposite receiver side. Sender and receiver have different tasks: the WS assembly provides the optical signal whose interruption is evaluated on the receiver side. This division of roles is an essential characteristic of the through-beam photoelectric sensor. The supply of the sender is 10–30 V DC. Its current consumption without load is at most 20 mA; a value of ± 10 percent is specified for the residual ripple. The electrical connection is made via a four-pin M8 connector. The device label shows the supply as well as a test connection. The test input is therefore part of the specific electrical version of this sender. For a quotation for the WS160-D440 with shipping from Germany to the United States and other international destinations, the M8 connection and the test input form part of the technical identification. The emission angle of the sender is approximately 3.3 degrees. This angle describes the spatial spread of the emitted light and must be distinguished from a range specification of the complete photoelectric sensor system. What task does the WS160-D440 have in the photoelectric sensor?
The WS160-D440 is the sender assembly and generates the infrared light for the opposite receiver side.
What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.
Which shipping methods and delivery times are available?
The shipping method, shipping cost and estimated delivery time are confirmed for the specific order. Depending on the item, destination and urgency, we can check parcel, express or freight shipping as well as collection.
A delivery date is binding only if we expressly confirm it as binding.
Which payment terms apply?
The payment terms stated in the checkout or order confirmation apply. Depending on the order and customer, payment is made in advance or against invoice.
International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
