The receiver side of the WS/WE 160 series combines an optical receiver unit with an electronic switching output. The SICK WE160-F440 bears the article number 6022742 and is one of the versions with a four-pin M8 connector. Its rectangular plastic housing measures 11 × 38 × 23 mm. The connection and optical axis are located on different sides of the housing; the electrical connector is physically separate from the receiving optics. In a through-beam photoelectric sensor, the transmitter and receiver face one another. The receiver evaluates the incoming light and derives the switching state from it. This optical principle uses a separate transmitter unit. The WE version denotes the receiver within the sensor pair. The PNP output of the WE160-F440 has a specified maximum output current of 0.1 A. The electrical supply range is 10 to 30 V DC. The sensitivity adjustment and a rotary switch for light-on or dark-on operation are located directly on the sensor. Position L denotes light-on operation, while D denotes dark-on operation. An orange LED indicates the output state; the green indicator shows signal strength or operating reserve. Switching indication and reception indication are therefore separate indicator elements on the receiver. The mechanical design includes a side mounting area with a hole and an elongated slot. In light-on operation, the output is active when light is received; dark-on operation uses the opposite switching state. Which switching modes does the WE160-F440 offer?
The rotary switch selects light-on operation in position L or dark-on operation in position D.
What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.
Which shipping methods and delivery times are available?
The shipping method, shipping cost and estimated delivery time are confirmed for the specific order. Depending on the item, destination and urgency, we can check parcel, express or freight shipping as well as collection.
A delivery date is binding only if we expressly confirm it as binding.
Which payment terms apply?
The payment terms stated in the checkout or order confirmation apply. Depending on the order and customer, payment is made in advance or against invoice.
International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
