Product description
An infrared laser with a wavelength of 850 nm forms the light source of the SICK DS30-P1241. The optical distance sensor belongs to the Dx30 series and operates on the time-of-flight principle. Its measuring range extends from 200 to 2,000 mm and applies to natural objects with a remission factor between 6 and 90 percent. This covers both low and high reflectance levels within this specified range. The teach resolution is 10 mm. It denotes the resolution during teach-in and is to be distinguished from the temporal response of the sensor: the response time is 10 ms, the switching frequency 50 Hz. A teach-in button on the device is used to set the switching distance. Two LEDs serve as indicators. For the DS30-P1241 with four-pin M12 connection, shipping from Germany to the United States and other international destinations is arranged for the specific order. The pin assignment comprises L+, M as well as output Q and its complementary output. The operating voltage is 10 to 30 V direct current. The residual ripple is at most 5 V peak-to-peak; the voltage tolerances must be neither undershot nor exceeded. The warm-up time is a maximum of five minutes. At a distance of two metres, the typical light spot measures 20 × 20 mm. The housing complies with IP65 according to EN 60529, the protection class is II. The permissible temperature range in operation extends from −40 to +55 °C; for storage, −40 to +75 °C is specified. A bore with a diameter of 5.2 mm is provided for mounting. The external dimensions are 24.6 × 80.5 × 55 mm. The weight is estimated at approx. 0.2 kg.

How is the switching distance set on the DS30-P1241?
The sensor has a teach-in button. Its teach resolution is 10 mm at a remission factor of 6 to 90 percent.
What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.
Which shipping methods and delivery times are available?
The shipping method, shipping cost and estimated delivery time are confirmed for the specific order. Depending on the item, destination and urgency, we can check parcel, express or freight shipping as well as collection.
A delivery date is binding only if we expressly confirm it as binding.
Which payment terms apply?

International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
