The Siemens 1FK7060-5AF71-1EH0 is a permanent-magnet synchronous servo motor from the SIMOTICS S-1FK7 Compact series for dynamic feed, positioning and machine axes. Its exact MLFB identifies a naturally cooled version with shaft height 63 and IM B5 flange construction, also approved for IM V1 and IM V3 mounting positions. At 100 K, the motor reaches 3,000 min⁻¹ rated speed, 4.7 Nm rated torque and 3.7 A rated current. The optimum operating point is 1.5 kW; maximum torque is 18.0 Nm and the mechanically permissible maximum speed is 7,200 min⁻¹. Feedback is provided by an AM2048S/R absolute encoder with EnDat interface, 2,048 signal periods and a 4.096-revolution multi-turn range. The integrated permanent-magnet holding brake operates at 24 V DC, provides 13.0 Nm holding torque and secures the stationary axis. A plain shaft, IP64 protection, natural cooling, and rotatable power and signal connectors define the mechanical and electrical installation. Motor temperature is monitored by a KTY84 sensor in the stator winding. Siemens specifies a motor weight of 8.0 kg and 90.0 percent efficiency. The compact design supports space-saving installation in existing machine axes. For replacement, the complete MLFB, encoder version, brake data, shaft end, flange position, connector orientation, motor cables and Motor Module assignment must match exactly. Similar 1FK7060 variants with Drive-CLiQ, a keyed shaft or another encoder are not automatically interchangeable. Encoder direction, brake circuit, current limits and controller parameters must be checked against the machine and Siemens documentation before commissioning. This motor is suitable for repair, retrofit and strategic spare-parts stocking for established SIMOTICS S axes.
