Siemens 1FT5066-0AC71-2-Z is a permanent-magnet three-phase servo motor from the 1FT5 series. Siemens describes the series for controlled feed axes in machine tools, machining centres, grinding machines, robotics and handling applications. The AC71 winding of the 1FT5066 provides a rated speed of 2,000 min⁻¹, rated torque of 6.7 Nm and rated current of 4.4 A. Standstill torque at 100 K is 8.0 Nm with a corresponding standstill current of 4.9 A. The data sheet lists maximum values of 3,200 min⁻¹ and 32 Nm. Further documented characteristics include a torque constant of 1.65 Nm/A, rotating-field inductance of 25.6 mH and thermal time constant of 35 min. The motor belongs to the naturally cooled frame with shaft height 63 and IM B5 flange mounting. The product image shows the motor construction with the electrical connections arranged on top. The official drawing assigns a square flange and a keyed shaft extension to the 1FT5066. It covers the naturally cooled construction with a size-1 connector and the illustrated motor and signal connection arrangement. The Siemens dimension drawing for the 1FT5066 specifies a maximum flange width of 138 mm and an overall height of 152.5 mm including the connector assembly. Documented motor length is 321 mm; together with the 40 mm shaft extension, the external length is 361 mm. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
