The module is based on the standard CPU 6ES7512-1SM03-0AB0 and uses conformal coating for increased resistance. Siemens specifies an ambient temperature range from -40 to +70 °C for the OT4 version and a short-term limit of +85 °C for 10 minutes in accordance with ST1/2. This makes the CPU particularly suitable for retrofit, maintenance and spare-parts supply in rugged ET-200SP and railway applications.
