For local machine operation and monitoring, the Siemens SIMATIC HMI OP17/DP12 6AV3617-1JC30-0AX1 provides a text-based user interface. The black-and-white LC display shows eight lines with 40 characters each. LED backlighting with a specified MTBF of 200.000 hours at 25 °C supports readability. Entries are made using a membrane keyboard. A total of 24 function keys are available, 16 of them with LED indicators. Numeric and hexadecimal entries are possible; touch operation is not part of this version. Two TTY, two RS-232, one RS-422 and one RS-485 interface are available for connection to automation systems. Via RS 485 or PROFIBUS-DP, the panel reaches a maximum transmission rate of 12 Mbit/s. The product description lists native drivers for SIMATIC S5, 505, S7 and M7. An Ethernet, USB, PC-Card or CF-Card connection is not available. An x86 unit serves as the processor; Flash and RAM form the memory, with 256 kByte available for user data. The panel has two TTY, two RS-232, one RS-422 and one RS-485 interface; up to 12 Mbit/s is possible via RS 485 or PROFIBUS-DP.
What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.

Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
