Siemens 6ES7 405-0KA00-0AA0 is a PS 405 10A power-supply module for SIMATIC-S7-400 and M7-400 stations. It connects to a 24-V-DC supply and generates 5.1 V DC for the backplane bus and 24-V DC for additional loads on the secondary side. Rated current is 10 A at the 5-V output and 1 A at the 24-V output. The permissible static input-voltage range is 19.2 to 30 V DC; the dynamic range is 18.5 to 30.2 V DC. Siemens specifies rated input current of 4.5 A and an inrush-current peak of 44 A with a half-value width of 20 ms. Maximum residual ripple is 50 mV at the 5-V output and 200 mV at the 24-V output. The 5-V branch requires a base load of 200 mA, while the 24-V branch is no-load proof.
