Siemens 6FX2001-2CC50 is an incremental rotary encoder from the Motion Control Encoder Measuring Systems family. The complete order number identifies the version with an RS422 interface, TTL signal level and 2,500 pulses per revolution. The documented operating voltage is 5 V DC with a tolerance of ±10 %. Maximum no-load current consumption is 150 mA and the maximum sampling frequency is 300 kHz. Signals A and B have a phase relation of 90°. Mechanically, the encoder has a synchro flange and a shaft with a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 10 mm. The housing has an outside diameter of 58 mm. The integrated connection cable is 1 m long, terminates in a connector and permits an axial or radial outlet. Device weight is 0.3 kg. Siemens specifies a maximum electrical speed of 7,200 U/min and a maximum mechanical speed of 12,000 U/min. Starting torque and friction torque at 20 °C are each no more than 0.01 Nm.
