The Siemens 6FX2001-2CC50 is an incremental encoder from the Siemens motion-control measuring-system family with an RS422 interface. It detects the rotation of a machine or motor shaft and provides 2,500 pulses per revolution. Signals are transmitted as TTL levels through RS422, making the encoder suitable for precise position, speed and rotational-speed detection in industrial axis applications. The required operating voltage is 5 V. Mechanically, the 6FX2001-2CC50 has a synchro flange and a 6 mm shaft. This design supports defined centring and compact connection to the existing machine structure. The fixed cable is 1 m long and has a universal cable outlet that can be routed axially or radially according to the installation situation. A connector is fitted at the end of the cable. The documented net weight of the encoder is 0.500 kg. Axial or radial cable routing allows available installation space to be used without changing the encoder's specified electrical interface.
