On the SMC20, incremental and absolute encoder signals are evaluated via a dedicated sensor module assembly. The Siemens 6SL3055-0AA00-5BA3 belongs to the SINAMICS-S120 family and evaluates incremental encoders with sin/cos signals of 1 Vss as well as absolute encoders with EnDat 2.1. An additional condition applies to SSI encoders: evaluation with incremental sin/cos signals of 1 Vss is specified from firmware version V2.4. The different encoder types are thus each named with their specific signal format. The maximum encoder frequency is 500 kHz. For SSI, the baud rate ranges from 100 to 1.000 kBaud. For signal subdivision, a maximum 16.384-fold interpolation corresponding to 14 bits is specified. These values describe the processing of the connected encoder signals by the sensor module. The SMC20 is supplied with 24 V DC. Its current consumption is 0.20 A, whereby the connected encoder is not included in this value. For the encoder supply, 5 V DC and 0.35 A are available at the integrated interface. Which encoders can the SMC20 evaluate?
It evaluates sin/cos incremental encoders with 1 Vss and EnDat-2.1 absolute encoders. SSI encoders with incremental sin/cos signals are supported from firmware V2.4.
What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.
Which shipping methods and delivery times are available?
The shipping method, shipping cost and estimated delivery time are confirmed for the specific order. Depending on the item, destination and urgency, we can check parcel, express or freight shipping as well as collection.
A delivery date is binding only if we expressly confirm it as binding.
Which payment terms apply?

International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect. Details in Section 12 of the Terms.
