With protection class IP00 and a permitted operating temperature range of 5 to 70 °C, the ABB DSQC 678 is designed as an internal communication card for the IRC5 control module. The PROFINET IO master/slave unit occupies one PCI slot and presents four RJ45 ports on its front panel. Its integrated real-time switch links the fieldbus connections; within the IRC5 option, the controller computer's existing LAN port is routed to one of these ports. The card can perform master and slave tasks simultaneously. On the master side, it controls digital or analogue PROFINET I/O units; the specified configuration supports up to 30 I/O units. The internal slave provides 512 digital input and output signals respectively. PROFINET IO routing allows signals under the master section to be assigned to the IRC5 controller or an external controller, or read by both. Technically, the DSQC 678 is based on the Siemens CP1616-PCI card with 32-bit PCI, an ERTEC-400-ASIC and a 100 Mbit/s transfer rate. Power is supplied at 5 V through the backplane bus or externally at 6 to 9 V DC. Power loss is 4 W and reaches a maximum of 4.1 W in switch operation. The board measures 18 × 107 × 167 mm and weighs 110 g. Red LEDs indicate collective and bus errors, while green and yellow indicators show link and activity.

Which PROFINET functions does the ABB DSQC 678 provide?

What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.

International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
