ABB PSR45-600-70 is a softstarter from the compact PSR series for smooth starting and stopping of three-phase motors. The main circuit is designed for 208 to 600 V AC and the rated operational current is 45 A. A separate control supply of 100 to 240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz is used. The complete ABB order number is 1SFA896111R7000. This clearly distinguishes the device from other current and control-voltage versions in the PSR family during spare-parts procurement and control-cabinet service. The softstarter controls two phases through a voltage ramp and has an integrated bypass. This design reduces installation effort and power loss after acceleration is complete. The start ramp, stop ramp and ramp time are adjusted using three potentiometers on the front. A relay output provides RUN and TOR signals as a normally open contact. ABB specifies 22 kW at 400 V and 30 kW at 500 V for this version. A maximum rated operational current of 46.2 A is documented to UL/CSA. The PSR range is designed for up to 100 starts per hour.
