Heidenhain 533903-73 identifies an AK ERA 4480 scanning head for a modular incremental angle encoder without integral bearing. The version has 14,000 signal periods, a 40 µm graduation period and a PUR connecting cable. Its analogue output signal is approximately 1 VPP and the cutoff frequency is at least 350 kHz. Supply voltage is 5 V DC ±0.5 V, while current consumption without load is below 100 mA. A 12-pin M23 coupling terminates the electrical connection. The scanning head operates with a separately mounted scale drum from the ERA-4000 family. Its operating-temperature range is −10 to +80 °C and its enclosure rating is IP40. The fixed head contour measures 40 mm in length, 46 mm in height and 16.5 mm in overall depth. These dimensions exclude the flexible connecting cable.
