Heidenhain 557 647-22 identifies an absolute sealed LC 483 linear encoder for direct position measurement on linear machine axes. The ID number belongs to the version with a measuring length of 1440 mm. Its DIADUR scale contains an absolute track and an incremental track with a 20 µm grating period. The measuring step is 10 nm and accuracy grade is ±5.0 µm. Absolute position is output through the EnDat 2.2 synchronous serial interface, while an additional sinusoidal 1 Vpp signal is available.
