Heidenhain 557679-06 identifies an absolute sealed LC 183 linear encoder for direct position measurement on linear machine axes. The ID number belongs to the version with a measuring length of 640 mm. Its DIADUR glass scale contains an absolute track and an incremental track with a 20 µm grating period. Measuring step is 10 nm and accuracy grade is ±5.0 µm. Absolute position is output through the EnDat 2.2 synchronous serial interface, while an additional 1 Vpp incremental signal is available. Supply voltage ranges from 3.6 to 5.25 V and current consumption is below 300 mA. Electrical connection is provided by a 14-pin male flange connector. Maximum traversing speed is 180 m/min. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
