As a multiturn absolute encoder, Siemens 6FX2001-5QP24 combines an absolute position resolution of 27 bit with the PROFIBUS DP-V2 fieldbus interface. Within the Motion Control Encoder range, the designation identifies the version with 8192 steps per revolution and a measuring range across 16384 revolutions. Position values are sampled internally in Gray code and transmitted in binary form through PROFIBUS. The permissible supply range is 10 to 30 V DC; current consumption is between 100 and 300 mA at a power consumption of 2.5 W. Bus communication supports transmission rates up to 12 Mbit/s and a maximum of 99 nodes. Accuracy is ±79 angular seconds at 8192 steps per revolution. One green and one red LED indicate operating and diagnostic states. Mechanically, this version has a clamping flange and a solid shaft with a diameter of 10 mm and a length of 20 mm. Maximum mechanical speed for the multiturn version is 6000 min⁻¹, while starting friction torque is no more than 0.03 Nm. The housing meets IP67 and the shaft input IP64; the operating temperature range extends from −40 to +85 °C. Terminals, address selector and terminating resistor are located beneath a removable hood with three radial cable glands. What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.

Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect.
