The Danfoss MCA 120 fieldbus option handles PROFINET communication in the VLT drive system. Its complete manufacturer designation distinguishes it from adjacent MCA options for PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, POWERLINK and EtherCAT. Two Ethernet ports and an integrated switch are part of the card hardware. An Actual Packet Interval down to 2 ms in both directions is documented for cyclic data. PROFINET is used for control and parameter assignment. DCP handles network-related settings, while LLDP provides topology detection and initial communication parameters. The built-in web server operates through HTTP and displays basic frequency-converter parameters as well as diagnostic information. SMTP provides email notification, while TCP/IP connects configuration data to the VLT Motion Control Tool MCT 10. The network view is supported in the PLC programming tool. MRP is provided for redundant ring structures. The option uses the same PPO types as the VLT PROFIBUS DP V1 MCA 101 and supports DP-V1 diagnostics. PROFIsafe is part of the documented functionality when combined with MCB 152. The implementation complies with Conformance Class B. Standard and coated variants have separate order numbers, while the common module designation remains MCA 120. The card format measures 50 × 30 × 60 mm and weighs 0.20 kg. These mechanical values identify the compact option card within the VLT accessory range.

Which network functions does the Danfoss MCA 120 provide?
The option card has two Ethernet ports with an integrated switch, supports MRP, DCP, LLDP and DP-V1 diagnostics, and includes an HTTP-based web server.
Which update interval is documented for PROFINET?
An Actual Packet Interval down to 2 ms in both directions is documented for a single connection.
What applies if an item develops a defect within 14 days?
For the condition categories “Used, removed from an installation” and “New, old stock”, the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect applies. The defect must occur within 14 calendar days after delivery and be reported in text form within the same period.
In particular, the REHA tamper-evident seal must remain fully intact and our RMA approval is required before return. In an accepted case, we decide between replacement and refund. Details in Section 11 of the Terms.
Which shipping methods and delivery times are available?
The shipping method, shipping cost and estimated delivery time are confirmed for the specific order. Depending on the item, destination and urgency, we can check parcel, express or freight shipping as well as collection.
A delivery date is binding only if we expressly confirm it as binding.
Which payment terms apply?
The payment terms stated in the checkout or order confirmation apply. Depending on the order and customer, payment is made in advance or against invoice.
International deliveries and deliveries to new customers are generally made against advance payment unless we expressly confirm another payment arrangement.
Can I return an item ordered incorrectly or found incompatible?
No. There is no general B2B right of return, exchange, cancellation or withdrawal. Incorrect or duplicate orders and a lack of suitability or compatibility with the customer’s installation are not covered by the contractual 14-day right of return in the event of a defect. Details in Section 12 of the Terms.
