Electrical limits are central to this High-Feature version: the Siemens 6ES7131-6BF00-0CA0 processes eight digital 24-V-DC input signals within a SIMATIC-ET-200SP station. The admissible supply voltage ranges from 19.2 to 28.8 V DC. A logical zero signal is defined from −30 to +5 V and a one signal from +11 to +30 V. Typical input current at signal 1 is 2.5 mA. Each input follows the Type 3 characteristic according to IEC 61131 and is P-reading. Input delay can be configured by channel between 0.05 and 20 ms. Edge evaluation is provided for rising, falling or alternating edges; pulse stretching from 4 µs can also be used. Eight electronically short-circuit-protected sensor supplies provide a combined maximum of 700 mA. The channels are electrically isolated from the backplane bus, but not from one another. The insulation type test uses 707 V DC. For diagnostics, the module monitors supply voltage, sensor supply, wire break and short circuit by channel. Green and red channel LEDs and the DIAG LED provide status and fault indication. Diagnostic alarms and configurable process alarms are available for all eight channels. Isochronous operation is specified at 250 µs; MSI is supported, whereas counter and oversampling modes are not. In the process image, the module occupies one input byte plus one byte for QI information. A BaseUnit of type A0 serves as the connection base; the module-specific colour code is CC01. The module measures 15 mm in width, 73 mm in height and 58 mm in depth. Its weight is approximately 28 g. These values distinguish this specific HF version from Basic-, Standard- and High-Speed versions.
