Extended web diagnostics and an IP access control list are central network functions of the Siemens 6GK7443-1EX30-0XE0. The CP 443-1 communications processor belongs to the SIMATIC S7-400 product series. Two electrical Industrial Ethernet connections are provided as RJ45 ports and operate at transfer rates from 10 to 100 Mbit/s. Both ports form an integrated IE switch. This version also works as a PROFINET IO controller and includes S7 communication, S7 routing and PG/OP communication. The combination of switching, controller and routing functions places several network roles in one compact S7-400 module. Open communication is available through ISO, TCP and UDP with SEND/RECEIVE. IP configuration uses DHCP or a program block; time synchronisation, Fast Startup and PROFIenergy are also included. This version has no C-PLUG. Its electrical supply is drawn from the backplane bus at 5 V DC. Typical current consumption is 1.4 A, while power loss is 7.25 W. The compact S7-400 module occupies a single module width. Its IP20 enclosure measures 25 mm wide, 290 mm high and 210 mm deep. The specified operating temperature range is 0 to 60 °C. At 25 °C, relative humidity may reach 95 percent without condensation.
